The Practical Application of High-Intensity Interval Training for Handball course teaches how to effectively implement High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to take performance to the next level. This course focuses on the unique aspects of your sport, the skill and physiological requirements needed to successfully perform at a high level, and the key HIIT methods to apply in order to elicit the desired physiological responses for optimal training adaptation and performance.
The HIIT group applied high-intensity interval training in combination with handball training. Handball training in the HIIT group was the same as in the SSG group. High-intensity interval training – 15 min general activity; 15 min warm-up with the ball; ~45 min high-intensity interval running, 15 min static stretching.

Twenty-four young female handball players, who have a 6.17 ± 1.54 years training experience and competition in the national league participated in this study.
